Peter Thomas grew up in Maerdy, a mining village at the top of the Rhondda, and spent his working life in early education: as a primary teacher, as deputy head of a nursery school, and as director of Earlyversity, an early years education company. He has always cooked, for family, for friends, and for anyone who needed feeding.

He lives in Mumbles, not far from the Gower cliffs where Twelve Tables begins. This is his first book.
